How scenarios are built
Every customer, organization, dataset, and incident is synthetic. Scenarios are organized around common FDE decisions: discovering constraints, segmenting risk, defining reversible rollouts, handling incidents, and communicating clearly.
Scenarios do not claim to reproduce any company’s confidential interview loop or customer engagement.
How scoring works
Each structured decision has an authored point value and weight. The overall Practice Score is the weighted result of those decisions in the current scenario. The same answers always produce the same score.
Free text is not automatically judged for quality. It is used to build the artifact and remains editable through a self-review framework.
What the score means
The score reflects how you handled one synthetic scenario. It can surface missed risk signals, but it is not a measure of overall FDE ability, job readiness, or employer recognition.
Known limitations
- Real customer environments include deeper organizational and political constraints.
- Reasonable engineers may choose different defensible approaches from the same evidence.
- Rule-based scoring cannot fully measure communication quality, experience, or live judgment.
- Scenarios will evolve with public industry practice and user feedback.
